Live Band Karaoke
Pick a song that's really easy for you for your first try.
I you can get an mp3 of the song and practice at home.
Or better yet, by an inexpensive microphone at
Radio Shack or Walmart plug it into
your home computer, turn the
microphone volume up and practice
hearing your own voice
and liking the sound of it
On the karaoke stage, you hopefully will have the basic beat and music memorized
good enough that you only need the words on
the screen as a reminder. Listen for your
voice out of the speakers, don't try to sing loud
er than the speakers to hear yourself
in those "inside ears" it'll give
you a hoarse voice and just plain wear you out.
Find someone in the crowd that's
smiling and sing to them
